Trip to Fátima

Fátima is a city in central Portugal that houses the Sanctuary of Fatima, a place of Catholic pilgrimage. The Chapel of the Apparitions marks the place where the Virgin Mary allegedly appeared in 1917.

The first apparition took place in 1917, in the place of Cova da Iria, where the Sanctuary is currently located. The greatest manifestations of the devotees took place on May 13 (the Procession of the Candles, on the 12th at night, and the Procession of Goodbye, on the 13th, closing the celebrations) and on October 13. However, between these two dates, every day 13 are devotional.

Related to the cult of Our Lady of Fatima, one can visit the houses where the seer shepherds lived, in the village of Aljustrel.

On this tour, you can visit the Sanctuary and attend a Mass in the Cathedral or the Apparitions Chapel. Then you have the lunch period (not included in the price) and do some shopping. The tour continues to the village of Aljustrel, where the little shepherds lived.

Pickups are available directly from (or near) your hotel or villa between Praia da Luz and Quinta do Lago (including Albufeira, Alvor, Armação de Pêra, Carvoeiro, Lagos, Portimão, Quarteira, Vilamoura).

Pickup times are shown when booking and are between 5am and 7am, while the return drop offs are between 8pm and 9.30pm. The trip to Fátima takes approximately 4 hours each way. The trip will be in Fatima for approx 4 hours and Aljustrel for 30mins. All times are estimates and subject to change.
