The Algarve has another Blue Flag beach. Praia do Pintadinho, in Lagoa, recently regained the Blue Flag award with which it had already been honoured in the past, eventually losing it in 2017. This means that, in 2018, the Algarve will have a total of 89 Blue Flag beaches, one more than last year.
Praia do Pintadinho is one of the most popular beaches in the municipality of Lagoa, with a crystalline sea, white sand and being surrounded by clayey rocks that form a small bay. On the right rock there is a cape where it is located the Lighthouse of Ponta do Altar and a tower-radar.
Albufeira remains as the county of the country with more Blue Flag beaches (25), followed by Vila do Bispo (11) and Loulé (10).
